This week we're delighted to welcome Peach to our series at a very exciting time in her musical-journey. Her inimitable blend of electronic music is loved across dance-floors globally; equal measures quirky and futuristic and always focussed on fun (as this mix perfectly encapsulates). His mixing skills and musical marksmanship directly caught our eyes and feet. Like so many great artists emanating from the lush Welsh valleys (think Steevio, Leif, Duckett et al) Jorg Kuning creates distinctly pastoral dance music that is in equal parts playful, deep, melodic and eccentric. Through a string of low-key sell-outs on his own Bakk Heia label, the producer has already developed a unique signature sound and a burgeoning cult following to boot, with early adopters including Ben UFO, Call Super and Shanti Celeste.

His recent Chosta-del-sol release on Facta and K-Lone's Wisdom Teeth steps it up a gear - channeling a polyphony of warm pads, warping plucks and oozing modular noise that stretches and sprawls throughout the record.

Jorg is a resident at the Bakk Heia party which happens regularly at Manchester institution The White Hotel.

One away from 100 mixes & another special one provided by our French brother, Samy. 

We first met Samy who DJ's as DVDE the first time we played in Paris & we instantly struck up a great friendship, he's a great DJ & a top human, much loved amongst the scene in Paris & rightly so. 

Here are some words he has shared with us for the mix. "I did something 100% electro with unreleased stuff from DMX Krew and Fabio Monesi + Detroit electro stuff I love. There are also 2 tracks from Paris based labels and friends. One is a remix of S.A.M of a track from my very good friend Aurèle launched on the demi-monde label, one is from the solid duo DO_1 on D.KO records. I've also putted some acid style stuff more 4/4. I wanted to show a side of my collection I don't play that much finally as I'm now more identified as an "House" head and an Acid House player, but I still have a LOT of electro records.

A live recording of the late Alex T, from Pleasure Club on 18th October 2019 at The Lion & Lamb.

Ahead of his debut at fabric this weekend, on 28th January 2020 we learned the terribly sad news that Alex T had passed away at the age of 25. 

Alex was the quintessential unsung hero of our scene. He worked behind the counter at Tribe Records in Leeds, hosted a show on Rinse FM, promoted a party called On Rotation (which was soon to become a label), was a regular at all the festivals as a punter or artist, and was also a really incredible DJ as this mix will testify.

Our birthday celebrations are now dedicated to his memory. For all three parties we will hold him close to our hearts and celebrate him through the music. Alex was really excited to play at fabric, and he will. During what would have been his set time (12-1am) we will play this recording of his appearance at Pleasure Club from last year which perfectly showcases his incredible skills behind a pair of turntables.

Alex, your memory will undoubtedly live on. The countless lives you touched through the music will go on for eternity and we will be thinking of you every step of the way. Thank you for everything. <3
