Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast, this week we are joined by Alessio Greco, this being his second appearance on the podcast the first being 6 years ago now and we are delighted to have him back on the show!

 We are joined this week by Alessio Greco, an artist making waves in his native Italy and beyond as he builds his musical portfolio and reputation.

Alessio Greco is a musician, live performer, producer and DJ. His musical career began in 2001 when he started playing the drums in a punk/hardcore band. After they broke up, he experimented with electronic music and more particularly ambient and drone. Around the same time he studied electronic music composition at the Music Academy "O. Respighi" in Latina. Over the next few years he moved into IDM and then eventually found Techno music, falling in love with it. In fact his style is a mix of deep, dark techno and ambient music.

Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast, we are joined for this show by an absolute stalwart of the UK Techno scene for many years, Darkmode.

Darkmode has been a proponent of high-paced Techno music for nigh on a decade. Having made a name for himself on the Techno scene, his early music productions grabbed the attention of the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Radioactive Man, Regis and DJ Bone, after his initial release ‘The DATA EP’ on Testin Out Records.

Darkmode rapidly gained a name for himself over the years as a DJ as well, becoming top pick in DJ MAG’s Pick N’ Mix in 2006, and he was was runner up in IDJ Magazine’s Raw Talent Selection in March 2007 & December 2009.

He has played at a range of parties, raves and festivals across the UK & Ireland over the years, acting as strong support for artists such as Radioactive Man, Ben Long, Phil Kieran, Marco Bailey, Ignition Technician, Bas Mooy, DJ 3000, Scan 7 and Dave Clarke.

His music releases and his own label, Biotech Recordings, continue to gather him considerable support.

Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast! As we move onto Episode 285 we are joined this week by German Electronic artist Pastor as he supplies us with an hours worth of rolling Techno wonders.



Pastor is a Techno Producer and DJ from Frankfurt, Germany.


He was a teenager when he first got in touch with audio equipment
and his interest in the electronic genre and in creating music itself began to grow.
He started in a self-taught way producing his own tracks and remixes 
inspired by the characteristic sound of modern dance music. 


Later, during the time he studied Audio Production at the SAE Institute 
he had the chance to discover his sonic tastes in many styles of music 
like reggae, rock/metal, and hip-hop. 


But after all, he fell in love with the power of Techno / Minimal, 
enchanted by the beauty and sensory experience.


With his own tracks and sets which are a great mixture of Melodic -, Industrial -, Cosmic - and Minimal Techno he was soon able to become part of the electronic music scene and collaborate with great international artists.

As we progress through time, the future looks a lot darker. Machines are taking over allowing very little human interaction. We welcome a prolific producer from Spain to The Poeticast this week, he goes by the alias of Chewy Martins.

Born on the tropical coast of Granada Jose Luis Martin (Chewy Martins),  the Dj and producer began his career in the electronic scene. 
Since a young age he  was related to the world of DJs and electronic music, He started his first mixes with techno and break beat and now has his own productions encompassing Hardgroove techno. 

Part of the event promoters of The Sound Beach Club where he is a regular but displaying the more forceful and current Tech-House style genre.

Chewy has played live at venues such as Penelope Lounge (Madrid), Sala Kalamazoo (Galicia) , La Zona (Vigo), 
Summer Tech (Portugal) Sala Oxido (Guadalajara) Le club (Alcala de Henares). 

He has featured on lineups with such artists as Chris Liberator, Omega Drive, Goncalo M, Pepo, Ruben Martinez, Hardell and more celebrated artists of the electronic scene. 

In 2013 he created the seal Slippers Records. Slippers Records is a Spanish stamp in their genres mainly includes Tech-Tribal, Tech-House, Deep-Tech and House. 

And in 2014 he created the label Psychodelik Records. 
Psychodelik is a new techno label created by producer Chewy Martins a stamp for fans of techno and new techno promises. 

Spanish Psychodelik Records is a label with a style that includes mainly techno and Hardtechno. The idea is to combine in their references to the new talents of the scene with other famous artists of the world scene.

Hello and welcome back to The Poeticast. 

We return with a big Guest Mix this week as we are joined by the supremely talented Electronic artist Mr Cozzo as he dishes up some Raw Techno for Episode 310 of The Poeticast!

Mr Cozzo is a multifaceted Producer and DJ, he combines House & Techno elements both in the Studio and his Live performances, his consistent focus being on Groove. 

He is one of those DJs who combines a multitude of universes, each one more exciting than the next, whose days blend with nights, walking from the podium to the dance floor, alternating flash and strobe. He discovered the “French touch” alongside his brother in the mid-90s going from club to club curious to discover new sounds. Always evolving in sound.

It was the sound of The Respect Party which touched him first with the beats made in New York and Chicago. Then came the Scream Parties, L’Enfer, The Folies and the beats of Detroit. More techno, more hypnotic. After his years of clubbing and photographing the parties of Paris, he started to DJ for private events always mixing his passions for fashion and nightlife.

In 2017 he joined the team of residents at Less Drama More Techno and released some House and Deep & Techno on Noexist, 200 DB Records, Dacusan, and LDMT Records. You can find him on the turntables across Paris at LDMT Events. 

Also his regular Club Cozzo show goes from strength to strength and his work in the Studio is developing into the Raw Techno sound similar to his Mix for Episode 310 of The Poeticast!

The Poeticast - Episode 106 (Random Audio Guest Mix)

The Poeticast is back this week and is proud to present Yuka to the podcast with a Guest Mix of seismic proportions.

Yuka is a female DJ now based in Moscow (where she has lived since 1998), but who began her career in distant Bratsk, Siberia. The town - a local industrial center - is probably more famous for what it dumps than what it makes; in the recent past it was listed as one of the thirty most polluted cities in the world. It wouldn't take much persuasion for someone to move on... Yuka's preparation for a shift to the capital's nightclubs was lengthy, however, since music had played an important role in her life since the age of 6.


Over time, her passions moved in the direction of painting, sculpture, and design - activities she continues to this day. That initial school-day enthusiasm at the piano would eventually win out, though, and dictate her choice of higher education. Her musical training thus led to a degree from the Irkutsk Arts Institute, where she no doubt studied under her real name, Irina Solbutova.

Now that she's fully ensconced in Moscow, her music appears regularly through the outlets of three labels: Fullpanda, Pro-Tez. That latter orgniation has also created a series of podcasts in her name for free downloading. The opening broadcast came with a small text that moves swiftly from imaginative fancy to absolute fantasy. In English it reads as follows: "All musicians can be compared to bird-catchers, especially those hunters who'd go looking for songbirds. Some of them would search for a particular type: a nightingale or a lark, perhaps. Others, conversely, would hunt nothing but exotic birds. Once they were caught, the birds would be kept in cages made from sheet music or boxes cut from concert programmes."

This tendency towards the ornate and magical is a marked facet of her work. When it come to drinks, however, she's a little more straightforward.

The Poeticast - Episode 111 (Yuka Guest Mix)

The Poeticast returns for Episode 127 and we are delighted to welcome Hydrangea to the podcast.

Hydrangea is a French electronic producer, making techno music deeply inspired by nature and its surroundings. She began producing music in early 2014, influenced mainly by the deep and hypnotic techno landscapes.

Hydrangea has released her debut album on the Annulled Music imprint, called 'Dawn Lights', a sensorial trip that captures each of your senses. She also released an EP on Two&Two Records and tracks on VA compilations. 

Besides being constantly preoccupied in reshaping her sound and developing new ways of expression through music, she's also a graphic designer and photographer under the alias Horty Shooter, managing the artworks for different music releases and graphic art projects.

Episode 127 is a fantastic peregrination through an ambient soundscape that defines Hydrangea's work in the studio and live performances.

Hydrangea has had work released on Annulled, Absolute, Hypnotic Landscapes, Silent Seasons, and most recently Accent Records. The latest EP can be acquired on Bandcamp:

At best, his sets are like a spontaneous visit to your favorite movie theater: without knowing the movie, you can count on an exceptional and rich selection. Carefully the scene is drawn and soon you are entangled in a rousing plot. Even dramatic twists, you hold out, because they are crowned by highlights that will be remembered for a long time. Komarovo is the electronic project of Vedia Bakia, who began composing and producing in mid 2016. 

It fluctuates between synth pop, cold wave and elements of IDM, but with the freedom to create what she feels at the moment. Komarovo is the past in motion towards a dystopian future. It is a passage between the dreamlike and material reality. Komarovo is the questioning of the human condition.
