"Cola" was the first single of Murdock’s X-Ray album and was an instant hit with ravers and radio alike. While it got people in the dance actually dancing again, it also peaked on UK radio especially, with months of daytime plays on many of the nation’s biggest stations. Ruth Royall’s catchy vocals, hinting to 90's r&b and perfectly complementing the latin vibes of the backing track, clearly hit the spot!

Fast forward 18 months and rave’s favorite Mollie Collins is adding her touch to the original, delivering a version that contains every bit of flavour of the original track, but adds a layer of bass that will get the dancefloor in a frenzy even more, all the while keeping it mint for the airwaves as well.

Friction returns with Real Life, the incredible first single from his new project SYNERGY.
 
Multi-awarding DJ/producer Friction has already reached legendary status in the dance music scene.  From cutting his teeth in the UK’s underground drum & bass scene to becoming one of its most revered & respected DJs, whose CV includes residencies at the UK’s most iconic clubs like fabric & The End and being the host of the BBC Radio 1 Drum & Bass show for six years. In recent years he’s made the transition into a full-time record producer, being responsible for two celebrated studio albums and a huge catalogue of hits.  He is also the founder of iconic independent labels Shogun Audio & Elevate Records, which have become powerhouses responsible for nurturing the careers of some of the scene’s biggest artists.   
 
Since the release of his sophomore studio album After Dark in 2022 (which has gone on to amass over 250 million online streams), Friction has been on a legendary run. Recent hit singles include BBC Radio 1 Hottest Records Bang Bang & Step Into The Rave, a collaboration with US dance music superstar Subtronics, features from legendary MCs Spyda, Stylo G, Frisco & P Money and official remixes for D.O.D, Emily Makis & Monrroe. 
 
This is all balanced with a hectic touring schedule, with headline tours across the UK, Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan & South Africa.  In the last couple years alone he’s sold out his biggest UK headline shows to date at Troxy & Electric Brixton, and had standout performances at some of the worlds biggest festivals including Glastonbury, EDC Las Vegas, Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Parklife, Creamfields, Reading & Leeds, Rhythm & Vines, among many others.
 
Friction returns with Real Life, a powerful drum & bass anthem sure to dominate the airwaves and dancefloors this festival season, featuring stirring vocals from rising star Blythe. Real Life is the first single from SYNERGY, Friction’s most ambitious work to date, which pushes his sonic & aesthetic boundaries further than they’ve gone before. Expect a lot more music and a completely new live experience to follow, stay tuned.
