Cocoon Recordings welcomes Pele & Shawnecy for his Cocoon 12" debut. Without any doubt the Rosenheim resident is one of the fastest rising names in Germany. The bavarian tech-house-hero has built up an impressive reputation over the last two years. His driving and testosterone loaded productions and remixes can be found in many top notch dj-sets and charts. Pele is a master of kicking tech-house and his style of incorporating chords and vocals create real peaktime highlights. There is no escape when the sound of Pele kicks in on your PA system!

 

SHAWNECY native Persian, who shows musical fully controversial direction. Michael Jackson's hip, he sings and dances for various chart and show acts, and also working as a choreographer and dancer. Both together started to produce music end of 2010 when Shawnecy moved from FFM to Rosenheim.

 

Their first 12" for Cocoon Recordings is no exception here. With "Can't Wait" they deliver the next peaktime highlight just in time for this years summer season start. Merging house and techno this one should make fans of Harvey McKay, Santos and Guy Gerber happy which makes it a perfect release for us. The Flipside "Can't Leave" slows down a bit and looks more at the deeper side. While "Can't Wait" is a proper peaktime monster "Can't Leave" should work out great on the next afterhour and keeps the party going and going. The right sound to welcome the sun after a hot night... change your sneakers for flipflops and check your mirrorshades and let's start dancing to the beat and bassline of "Can't Wait".

 

The digital bonus track "You And Me" seems to be a dub version of "Can't Leave" at first glance. However the more you hear it to more it starts to progress into an unique and very hypnotic track. One of these tunes that don't let you leave the floor and you wish it would go on and on forever. "You And Me" would be a perfect track to make it into a locked groove at the end of your vinyl... well, if it wouldn't be digi only ;)

The enigmatic duo, Italoboyz, bring their distinct sound to Crosstown Rebels, and invite Crosstown affiliate Yulia Niko to provide the remix. 

The original cut of Midnight Summer Dream is a fourteen minute epic journey through time and space. The track is dark and dreamy with Durant’s tripped out vocals entwined with uplifting, cosmic arpeggios. Yulia Niko develops a deeper bassline on her take- stripped back with a grungier style.

Italoboyz, the duo of Marco Donato and Federico Marton, have been on a musical voyage since 2002. They have released over a hundred tracks for revered imprints including VIVa Music, Moon Harbour and Circus. In 2012 they launched their seminal label Superfiction, alongside Blind Minded, with the aim to create a movement. Yulia Niko has released on esteemed labels such as Get Physical, Plant74 and MATTER+, In 2017 Mixmag named her as one of their ‘20 Artists To Know Who Are Rising From The Underground’. Yulia also recently launched her vinyl only imprint, TochnoTechno.

'Butane and Riko Forinson link up for an enchanting new deep house single on Deeperfect that comes backed with a hot remix from Detroit mainstay Shaun Reeves.

For many years now, Butane has cooked up electric grooves on the finest labels from Get Physical to Crosstown and his own Alphahouse, Little Helpers and Extrasketch. A master of texture and mood, he has been touring the world since 2005 and always keeps people guessing as to his next trick. Meanwhile, Italian Riko Forinson has long been fascinated by acoustics and has studied various instruments at the Conservatory of Salerno. He now makes futuristic electronic music with influences of rock, jazz, hip hop, reggae and classic house.

The duo's 'One Hundred Percent' is a deep and tender seven-minute house opus, with swaying claps and drums, hugely emotive vocals and gorgeous piano keys draped over the top. It's a rich, emotional track that brings something different to the dance floor.

The remix comes from Shaun Reeves, a long time innovator who has landed on labels like Wolf & Lamb, Crosstown Rebels, Raum and, of course, the Visionquest label he co-founded. Once again he cooks up some enthralling sounds here and takes things deep and late into the night. Rubbery kicks power you along as warped synths and dark bass weave in and out to hypnotic effect.'
