This time we have the perfect hybrid, the perfect blend and a fantastic collaboration between the aforementioned duo and an experienced producer, owner of as many as three record labels including The Purr, Jelly For The Babies!
Sophisticated organic sounds, beautiful melodies and lush grooves are mostly part of the song "Two Of Us", but that marimba melody and silk vocals are what are most contagious and leave a striking impression on the first listen.
In order for this release to be completely perfect, we have hired the best of the best in the remixes, so one remix was commissioned by the Greek producer DSF, while the other remix was done by the great Mexican musicians Josta & Balcazar!
All in all, an exceptional and unavoidable release for all fans of quality music!

Continuing their ascent through the organic house underground, Mariner + Domingo return to Madloch's Sound Avenue with a new three track showcase. The Belgian imprint has become somewhat of a home base for the talented American duo. A cross section of Mariner + Domingo's most beloved tracks have come courtesy of the long-standing imprint, most notably ‘Le' Carnival', ‘Edenwilde' and ‘Another Life', the latter of which earned play, support and a Beatport chart feature from world class DJ and All Day I Dream boss Lee Burridge. Now as the world looks towards a period of rejuvenation, with dancefloors taking on new levels of satisfaction after an extended silence, Mariner + Domingo charm us once again with three stunning tracks across their latest Sound Avenue vehicle ‘Inertia'.

Already a favourite of organic house trendsetter Tim Green, it is the esoteric sounds of the title selection which lead the release off. Mariner + Domingo continue to perfect their craft here, with an amalgamation of carnival inspired motifs blanketing a rich, well contoured groove and flurries of exotic percussion. Void of any traditional musicality, it's mystical charm might be its strongest suit. Coming to an emotional peak during the interlude, the Florida residents marry indistinct vocals with breezy effects, hopeful pads and harmonic swells for an understated yet poignant peak.

Forging an impressive reputation as one of the underground dance industry’s leading lights through an ever-expanding production portfolio, Sebastian Sellares continues to impress. Operating out of his Córdoba home at the foot of the Sierras Chicas, the Argentinean artist has made a name for himself with a sparkling array of original and remix production material. An accomplished guitarist from an early age, a move into dance music via house and techno ultimately led to a focus on the deeper rhythms and more considered melodic phrasing of progressive house.

This attention to detail and talent in abundance has led Sellares to a host of high-profile imprints that include Paul Thomas’ UV, the Anjunadeep behemoth and fellow countryman, Antrim’s Or Two Strangers. The “Jinsei / Zen State” EP on Proton Music saw a remix from Bedrock icon, Nick Muir, while the Sebastian Sellares contribution to GMJ & Matter’s flagship Meanwhile imprint saw April 2021’s “Dunes at Dawn” take centre stage. A remix for GMJ followed two months later while a further for Alex O’Rion followed in February 2022.
Now debuting on sister imprint, Meanwhile Horizons, the “Lost in Time” title track is driven by a gloriously intricate percussive groove that separates spaciously within the stereo soundstage. Gently pulsating pads herald a haunting motif that make its presence felt atop a deep bass groove, while a beautifully imagined guitar sequence ushers in a stripped back breakdown where melancholic chords and delicate string phrasing add to the aural collage. The complex rhythmic arrangement picks up the pace again in the second half, combing with the haunting melodic passages to wondrous effect.
Characterised by heavy beat and a superbly placed off-beat percussion that fires off somewhere over the listener’s left shoulder, partner track, “Afterglow” builds with a sustained pad holding court in the mid-range while a cavernous bassline provides a perfectly syncopated groove. Evolving in sonic waves, mellifluous piano motifs flow unencumbered across the 8-minute piece, drenched in delays and reverbs whose tails stretch off over the sonic horizon. Rising and falling with consummate ease, a breakdown full of meticulously placed elements provides the perfect pause before the track eases into the third movement with metronomic beat and heavenly melody.

Fully ensconced in the here and now, Sebastian Sellares has discovered an enduring melodic balance, “Lost in Time”.

The latest offering from Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint finds the label showcasing new interpretations of Mariner + Domingo's ‘Inertia'. Released in September of last year and played by Sebastian Leger and Tim Green, the two-track showcase proved to be one of the defining releases in what was a standout year for the American duo. Now bringing new life to the well-received EP, Sound Avenue invites Powel, Tristan Case & Tom Barlow and Orange & Indigo to re-imagine the tracks for 2022. 

Returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of ‘I Still Remember' is Powel. With a career that now spans over a decade, Berlin based artist Powel has continued to delight organic house aficionados with his releases via All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep and more. As a favourite of the genre's tastemakers, Powel made his Sound Avenue debut in 2019 with a gorgeous rendition of ‘Pearl' by Paula OS. A groovy yet impassioned take on the track that earned praise from Eelke Kleijn, Nick Warren, Modd, Roy Rosenfeld and Sasha. Now following the release of his latest Do Not Sit On The Furniture vehicle ‘Back To The Beginnings', Powel returns to Sound Avenue with a heartfelt interpretation of ‘I Still Remember'. Pitched somewhere comfortably between dreamy reverie and groovy bliss, it's a version equally at home above a daytime dance floor or sitting in the emotional sweet spot of an end of the night scenario. Captivating and poignant in equal measure, it's playful nature only furthers Powel's uncanny ability to achieve natural elegance and tasteful patience through his music.

Madloch’s Sound Avenue imprint welcomes Mariner + Domingo to the label for their debut EP.  The US artists have an extensive history in electronic music, dating all the way back to the early nineties when the Florida club scene was a central hub for the movement. With a sound that resonates between organic and progressive house, the US duo have re-emerged over the course of 2020. Releases via Balkan Connection, One Of A Kind, RYNTH and The Purr have been vehicles for their romantic melodies and exotic rhythms. Seemingly a perfect fit for Sound Avenue’s music policy, the duo now make their first appearance on the label with ‘Le’ Carnival’.

Domingo + Loveclub are two separate producers, however they are brothers Chris & Perry Domingo. In the 90's they wrote many records and toured together for years. Perry left the scene years ago to raisea family. Chris continued and has had great success with his last duo Mariner + Domingo. After over a decade, Perry dusted off his gear and rejoined his brother to start writing again. They have quickly climbed the music industry ladder by having several top 10 releases on labels - Songuara, Stellar Fountain, 3rd Avenue, Amulanga, Tale & Tone and a forthcoming EP soon to hit the market on Melody Of The Soul. Together, they continue to DJ and produce quality music and their 30 years of experience in the industry is paying off in the end.
