DJ HISTORY: "Murf’s journey began in 1983, immersed in early Electronic sounds and Electro - Often described by peers as the Yoda of Techno, Murf brings a wise, measured approach to his craft – deeply rooted in the foundations of Electronic music. Murf’s reputation was built through appearances at seminal venues and events including Glastonbury Festival, Kerfuffle, Final Frontier, Club UK, Tresor, Berlin, Global Ark, Japan, Compufunk in Osaka, and standout gigs in Tokyo, as well as Headroom at Alphabet in Brighton - Notably, he delivered a series of legendary 4-hour sets at Subterrain, The End, London".

INSPIRATION: "I tried to include a few trax peeps will know, and several lesser known bits from well known artists….I let some trax play for most of their duration, ‘coz you don’t hear ‘em out (in full) often, and it just felt right during the session..  I just went with the flow innit!"

LOVELL started the night with a beautiful warm up set, starting deep and flowing into more dancing territory, reading the room perfectly. 

Hailing from the small town of Eyemouth in the Scottish Borders, Anthony began his musical pilgrimage through clubs like The Liquid Rooms and Sub Club, where he found the education he was looking for, witnessing sets from legends such as Andrew Weatherall, Ben Klock, and Fred P.

That foundation shaped the sound he now channels through his monthly “Expressions” radio show on Subcity Radio. Over the last decade, appearances at festivals, pubs, and clubs including La Cheetah and Paradise Palms have helped Lovell refine his distinct approach.

An excerpt from a session recorded during our A.I.R. in Krems (A) in October 2011.
It is the genesis of a new collaboration between  Dhrupad singer Amelia Cuni and myself on Pan-Ney , in which Indian Ragas and Just Intonation pitches find a common ground.
We are also using delays and moving sinetone drones to support the tunings. This is  Part 1 of a work-in-progress , including sections with other invented instruments.The duration the whole composition still in the air.
