This song is special to me because part of it was inspired by my experience with vocal nodules a few years ago.
This song is about feeling as though you aren't being listened to by the people closest to you.

The Last Time

Here's a bit about me...
Born in (and singing since) 2002. I am Scottish. I write my own music and upload it to YouTube and Instagram. My favourite food is fajitas or mac'n'cheese. Prefer dogs to cats (I have a Spanish Water Dog called Rico!)
I play field hockey. When I was younger, my favourite TV show was the X Factor and I used to say I wanted to audition when I turned 16. 
I am Grade 7 Singing with Merit (about to sit my Grade 8 in March!)
I play the fiddle and guitar. I taught myself piano. I used to sing in the Royal Scottish National Orchestra Junior Chorus - from when I was 7 until I was 13!
I was diagnosed with vocal nodules (yes, like in Pitch Perfect!) and damage to my larynx (part of the voice box I think...) when I was 13 years old. 
After a few months of vocal rest, I was recovered - I even have a picture of my healthy vocal chords to prove it!
My doctor said I may never be able to achieve the same level of singing as I had before my diagnosis... Once I recovered, I performed solo for the first time in a year and came second in my school's singing competition. The next year, I won. My recovery taught me just how much singing matters to me and how different my life would be without doing the thing I love most
I discovered how much fun writing music is when I was 16. Since then, I have written about 50 songs (you can find 2 of them on my YouTube channel!) 
I plan to upload much more content to my YouTube channel and start recording my songs with better equipment than an iPhone mic!
