Put together using the talents of Rob Van Tol - guitar, Kelly Williams - guitar, Jason Kreska - Bass, Mike Christe - Drums, my babypants vocals.  There's something about that old Moss Icon, early "emo" period that is stuck with me to this day.  And, hey, there should be room for poetry in music, it helps keep my world goin' round..

here's an oldie but goodie from bombs lullabye, a band that consisted of:  James McInerney -vocals,  Joseph Mattson -bass/vocals,   Ben Padget - guitar/vocals, and Karl Ericson - drums/vocals.   We played live happily for only 30-40 people once.  Enjoy... lyrics are bombs

Bombs Lullabye - the fifth son

a song by My Own Pine Box, who was Adam Kuthe, Karl Erickson, James McInerney, Ryan Wilson, and me.  There was a theme of asceticism that ran through our songs that i can appreciate but will not attain.  The skill of the other musicians here is apparent throughout our songs, it was challenging to play with these guys, i often just put simple melody lines through Adam's awesome guitar work.

The Artist in Residence of San Juan Country

The Goodnight was Jason Kreska, Mike West, Pete Switzer, and me.  The lyrics to this song were inspired by location scouting for a movie we never made with Joel Gibson and Scott Aviles in Bay City a looong time ago, and moving into a shack on my own after all my friends had moved away from Kalamazoo.  Good one two combo for a starting over song heheh.

The goodnight - lettering

a new song to open a new album by the rain life.  one of the best things that happened in 2012 for me was working on this project with some really awesome people/musicians.  I asked some folks near and far to help me record an albums' worth of songs that i wanted to release on vinyl, but alas, vinyl is out of my reach at this point, but we did a lot of good work on this so i want it available for people.  The friends/musicians on this include Jason Kreska, Kelly Williams, Pete Switzer, Michael Christe, Michael West, Matt Kurlinski, and Rob VanTol.  Enjoy!!
