Paul Schmidt is a philanthropist personally investing in Lawrenceville Plasma Physics (LPP).  They're trying to build a nuclear fusion reactor, "the power grid for the world".  But nothing like it has ever been built before.  No one even knows for sure whether it will work.  The test phase is up-coming.  This is one of those, "you never know 'til you try" moments.  He says he doesn't like promoting things, and he's not asking for investors either; he just wants the project to get some attention. The Ra-Men are interested in the kind of discussions this will generate. ﻿
