The lead track is a bold introduction to their developing style. An infectious vocal hook immediately catches the ear, evolving throughout the track, with soulful counter melodies injected tastefully to keep things progressing. A rolling bassline pulses underneath smooth atmospheres and sparkling arp lines, all building towards a huge pay off, which has become synonymous with the My Friend sound. 

Pineapple Grove sees the pair get more experimental and left. Rugged breakbeat style drums underpin this eery piece of music. With moody atmospheres, lo-fi lead lines and big bass, this record grows and grows, creating a real listening journey.
