The Rapids mini feature - The Bone Orchard Radio Show

The Rapids are an unsigned rock band, consisting of five hardworking and ambitious guys around the age of 20 from the shores of Portsmouth playing our own brand of high energy, catchy riff fueled rock for all to enjoy.

We've been named 'one to watch for the future', 'a band that could go places' and 'the next big thing' by local promoters and reviewers. Our ferocious live set has been spoken of in such ways: 'The Rapids play like they’re named and are an exciting band to watch live.', 'Well tuned, well timed and tight enough to pierce a bullet proof vest', 'I would bet my right buttock that these guys have been going for a couple of years at least', ' they had our undivided attention'.

2012 is looking to be huge with a spot at Dumbfest and Guilfest already confirmed. We were also the ONLY UK band out of 5,000 worldwide applicants chosen to play Taste of Rock world tour (6 months, 46 dates). We are currently finishing off our debut EP, with release announcements coming soon. We have enjoyed unstoppable growth as an unsigned Portsmouth band and will not stop working to build on it.
