Another mashup of mine, from way back in 2005.  I was heavily into GTA: San Andreas at the time (and now, due to both GTAV and the re-release on mobile platforms, I am again), and after having heard Children's Story in-game, I felt it'd go well with Gin and Juice, a song which would find its way into GTAV, as San Andreas took place a year before Snoop's Doggystyle album was to debut.  I've oft thought of revisiting this to add in Montell Jordan's This Is How We Do It, but (other than the fact that it samples and even references Children's Story) I feel this is fine, as is.

First and foremost, I want to send a big Salute to Jorun Bombay for inspiring me to move onto production. He among many legends and local legends as well have inspired me, too many to name. A few years ago, he made an instrumental of Rock The Bells by LL Cool J Produced By Rick Rubin, cuts by Jay Byas The Original DJ Jazzy Jay. I decided to give it a try and create an instrumental Dub Version. I programmed the beats using Maschine, then used Ableton to EQ, sequence, and chop samples, also replicated the cuts to the best ability. Most of the original samples were taken from vinyl except for Trouble Funk's 4th Gear sample. Again, thanks for the inspiration. Peace!
