originally, 'hidden gems' was just a personal playlist i used to save all the amazing underrated music i would come across. and although i still use the playlist for this exact purpose, it has grown into something much more; a playlist that not only puts emphasis on the discovery of new music, but also allows any artist to submit their work for a chance to be featured

i made this 1 hour mix that features only music from the playlist. some of these artists have less than 1,000 monthly listeners, some songs have less than 1,000 streams on spotify, this is what the playlist is all about, showcasing true hidden gems ;)

i hope that this mix (and perhaps future mixes to come) can serve not only as an introduction to the playlist for many, but also another opportunity for me to share amazing music with you all once more
