Growing up in the heart of the rise of dancehall culture in Jamaica during the 80's, DJ Crazy D learnt the true meaning of dancehall music. Little did he know the fresh and new vibes that were rising during that period would change his life and shape him into becoming the DJ he is today.

Born Damon Budram, hailing out of Clarendon, Jamaica, DJ Crazy D spent his early years as a DJ being quite efficient experimenting, making his own HiFi systems, mixing on cassettes, using makeshift microphones to record his friends and making his own dub plates. He eventually hosted his own events where he got to show off his sounds. In high school Crazy D joined a sound crew where he began to experiment with new sounds of dancehall and gained experience with using the newest DJ technology. He then found himself making the worthwhile move by immigrating to Dublin city.

DJ Crazy D definitely felt like a fish out of water by now being in the centre of a city where dance music and pop culture dominated the music scene. Although he had little experience in playing for this type of crowd, Crazy D quickly adapted to the Irish market slowly introducing dancehall through his sets.

He gained a reputation to be reckoned with and now holds resident DJ for a weekly reggae dancehall club night, in the heart of Dublin city. DJ Crazy D now finds himself on the same level as other top DJ's in Ireland playing at major music festivals and numerous nightclubs across Ireland.
