Legacy

All my life, I’ve carried the weight of not fitting into the narrative.

Not just the physical weight of having been obese,
but the invisible weight of not being seen.
Of being valued only as a shell.

I put myself in that place, and I’ve taken responsibility for it. I carried that version of me for years.

Now, I’ve done what I set out to do.
I’ve lost nearly 90kg. I look the way society says I should. I look the way people around me once wished I would.

And yet,
I’ve never felt more hurt than I do now.

I used to believe I was treated differently because of how I looked.
Now, standing in the body I thought would free me, I realize something even harder:

I was always worth love.
I was always enough.
And no version of me ever deserved to be treated as less than human.

Redemption is me naming the pain.
Claiming it.
Releasing it.

It’s 25 years of shame. 25 years of shrinking.
25 years of believing I had to become someone else to deserve love.

But I see it now.
I deserve love for who I am. Not for what I achieve. Not for what I produce.

Every version of me deserves to be unconditionally loved.
And this music is how I remind myself of that truth.
