Another exploration in hacking genres - Screw + Metal + Mashup = Metal Screw

Since 1999 I have been contemplating a proper way to define hacking music...over the years my studies and work as been a pursuit into defining this technique. I have come to the conclusion that to truly hack music is to hack genres. From this the concept of the name Dr1v3r has manifested. When dealing with computers there is software and hardware...in the Dj world there is hardware and software....I am the Dr1v3r that communicates the hardware to the software. So my introduction to this concept is to show how to cross the genre of screwed music with the genre Metal. What resonated with me to Screwed music is because as a child in 1984 I remember getting that tape player, and listening to ll Cool J , Whodini etc etc. My family did not have the money to pay for batteries so I always had to listen to music slowed, especially rock rap bands like The Beastie Boys and Red Hot Chili Peppers..so this set of tracks you hear is a tribute to the poor mans music. 

History of the track: This was a very personal track for me, I studied philosophy and psychology for years and I found it fascinating how Freud saw insight into the unconscious mind with art...what if you applied that to music? So based on linguistics and symbolism within the teachings in philosophy I paid close attention as to why in mashups it was always posted as song VS song. so I took that literally and took a narrative of Bitch and pit it against the bitches Addiction...hence what you hear now.

Concept: The concept of Scotch is a antithesis of Screwed music, Screwed Music is slowed 30 to 50 Bpm than the original. Scotch speeds the track 50 - 120 bpms, I enjoy laying over rock rifts, beats, or sounds to accentuate the track. As I move further into this exploration of hacking Dj Styles you will see Chopped from Screwed and Chopped to be forged into Hopped...then the track will be Hopped and Scotched...bad ass.

Breakdown:

Thesis (Screwed and Chopped): DJ Screw's technique involves slowing down and manipulating the tempo of a track, creating a hypnotic and laid-back effect. The "screwed" aspect is the primary thesis.

Antithesis (Hopped and Scotched): As the opposite of slowing down, the "Scotched" aspect can be understood as speeding up the track, introducing energy and intensity. The "Hopped" aspect can be seen as chopping the track, adding a fragmented and dynamic quality that contrasts with the smoother, elongated feel of screwing.

Synthesis (Hacked Dj Style - Screwed & Chopped = Hopped & Scotched  > Project Pat's Track - Hopped n Scotched): Applying this dialectical framework to a track, I aim to create a synthesis between the thesis and antithesis. You could potentially take a Dj Style, Antithesis it and synthesis a hacked dj style. This would result in a unique blend that captures the essence of both approaches while creating a new musical experience.

this is so unorthodox with the current DJ mindset..but when you conflict Hacking and Music..this is the result..Feel it. I fucking love conflict theory...musical alchemy

Update: Been gettin alot of good feedback from the track, I would say FoeMob has a real deep voice and its hard as fuck when slowed, and this was a real vibin song with Post in the background so I am glad all is enjoyin it.
