In a normal Beat Battle Competition two producers go head to head with their original production and see who wins based on judges and crowd reaction.
This year’s Beats n Bars Beat Battle, brought to you by Moog Music, is a bit different...

Rules:
•Producers had 2 weeks to create 3 beats total using the samples or songs the judges provided.
•Outside drum and stock sounds are allowed. 
•Must use the one sample each per beat and the sample must be recognizable.
•Blind battle: no one but the stage manager, DJ and host will know which songs belong to each producer until the winner is revealed at the end of the 3-round contest. THIS IS ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC!
•Beats must run at least 60 seconds.

Judging criteria (10 points is perfect): 
(4 pt) •use and creativity of sample 
(3 pt) •production value (mixing and mastering) 
(2 pt) •KNOCK

Judges score individually after each beat is played and the combined total is what that producer or “numbered folder” gets for that beat. 

Rounds:
1st round: four lowest scores eliminated 
2nd round: two lowest scorers eliminated 
3rd round: determines winner.
