The demos for this song came about in early 2013 in Albuquerque, NM. I had just purged nearly an album of material at the time, which is in the works of getting completed with a hopeful 2014 release date. After I did the guitar and synth demos for this track I didn't touch it again until late 2013 while working in Hollywood, Ca. I put a mix on it and came back to Albuquerque in early 2014, where I programmed the drums. My good friend Coach Keys also did some synth parts for me. After all of that I still hadn't come up with any lyric or melody ideas. 

Since the album's main ideas revolve around our higher celestial lives as light beings traveling the cosmos, I decided to write this song about a chosen people whose desires for answers in the Universe led them outside of the Earth's atmosphere, where they would be joined with the mighty Celestial Beings (Angels), that would guide them to their next life. After a few tweaks... it was finished. 

"The Fueros" is the first single and teaser from the new Statues Destroy Mannequins album "Vessels", available for download on Bandcamp sometime in late 2014.
