Day Thief @ Club Pansy, November 6th

@the-carry-nation, a staple of the underground dance music scene in New York, are absolute masters from it comes to a late night marathon set.  Over the span of five hours @djnitamusic and @djwillautomagic created an unforgettable moment that seem to pull from every corner of dance music.

There is a moment during the mix, which you can discover for yourself, where the equipment table decided to dance itself off stage and disrupt the mix. Crisis was averted as our amazing crowd immediately stepped in to literally upright the situation. It represents a moment of solidarity that @the-carry-nation opted to keep in the mix!

Campout Series:  The Carry Nation

Bouffant Bouffant is a DJ, Producer, and party starter from New Orleans, Louisiana. He cut his teeth in local sex clubs, warehouses, and dive bars but has become a major player on the bubbling American Queer Underground nightlife circuit as well as International jaunts to play for the likes of Buttons Berlin and Savage Hanoi. His monthly party Gimme A Reason has been fostering space for queer nightlife in New Orleans for over 9 years. He’s also 1/3 of queer and women lead DJ collective Trax Only and 1/2 of DJ duo Babygirl. Trax Only have become infamous for their one off warehouse raves that expose New Orleans to a plethora of national and international queer talent as well as their compilation SOFT TOUCH EXPRESS, a survey of producers from the American Queer Underground.

"A couple weeks ago I played the first Buttons party in Berlin with zero Covid restrictions at a beautiful new venue in Treptower Park. This mix is the first hour of that set. It was sunrise and the sun peaked through floor to ceiling windows of a gorgeous ballroom packed with the most beautiful queer babes. It was one of the most special sets of my life and one of the best parties I've ever attended. I wanted to stamp that moment in time with this mix."

4AM NYC is a DJ, producer and educator currently based in Queens, NY. They are a dual citizen of the United Kingdom and the United States: comin up through the fashion underworld of London as a teen; finding their way to the musical motherland of NYC as an adult.
   For over a decade they have served dancefloors the world over: New York, London, Pittsburgh, Detroit and beyond - holding down residencies with their own party series Spiritual Mental Physical at beloved NYC night clubs such as Good Room, Le Bain, and Jupiter Disco. Known as a vinyl assassin like no other, they provide nights of music unbound by genre, dedicated to dancers; ruled by a furious and vivid emotional spectrum. Their delivery is always uncompromising and energizing, passionate and sincere.
   This mix for Deep South ATL is an homage to the era of 'Dream House' that continues to inspire 4AM to this day: the heart-racing sweat-dripping soul-quenching delights of that good deep garage house pouring out of NY, NJ, Chicago and Detroit in the late 80's & 90's. Next up on RIDE FM: Powerhouse and marvelous banjee child Shaun J. Wright! Growing up in Chicago Illinois, the epicenter of house culture, he developed his love for dance music through high school years, while taking part in the now globally known underground dance scene known as Juke.
After contributing to the fashion scene in NYC and working as a vocalist with Love Affair and Hercules, Shaun returned 2012 to Chicago to forge his solo career and started to collaborate with DJ & Producer Alinka, starting their party Twrirl and eventually releasing their first EP, Twirl Vol. 1.
10 years later and after numerous releases and gigs at the likes of Smart Bar, Panorama Bar, Cocktail d’ Amore and Cities like LA, NYC, Barcelona and Sydney, we welcome him to the 2nd episode of RIDE FM!

For th 110th entry in the Honcho Podcast Series, we welcome @fivefivefivefivefive!. Five is a New Orleans born DJ currently living in San Francisco. ‘Club’ music in a very broad sense of the term has been a mainstay in Five’s DJ sets through the years, but a focus on classic house music directs the overall sound following some recent years of access to digging in record shops throughout NYC.

Five is also one-half of the DJ duo Babygirl, who’s sound fixates on the raw, fun, and sexy energy present within the classic house music sound. For this mix I wanted to keep that same energy, but take things a little slower as we get into the thick of Summer. New and old favorites, some surprises, and plenty of moments to feel the Love because… (Love is the message)
