Yesterday I was blessed to spend some time with Ray Martin and Ita Buttrose discussing the current campaign that Pete Evans, Costa Georgiadis, Australian Organic and Australian Certified Organic and I have launched in relation to making the public aware of what "Certified Organic" truly is.  Did you know that the word "organic" can be used by a company and displayed on a product if the product contains one natural ingredient but may contain literally 100's of chemicals. The word "organic" is so misrepresented in Australia and around the world and only "Certified Organic" is your guarantee that the products are free of all the nasty chemicals, to be certified they also have to be GMO free, they cannot contain nano-particles and they are cruelty free. Australian Certified Organic (ACO) is the most known and most respected organic certifying body in  Australia. in fact over 80% of the certified organic products on the shelves in Australian markets are certified through ACO. According to the EWG (Environmental Working Group) there are over 10500 chemicals used in cosmetics (skin, hair, beauty and personal care products) and only 13% have ever been tested for safety and there are concerns with many of those tested. Companies using parabens have repeated tested to show that parabens are safe when used in products, each test has failed, yet companies continue to use these cheap and nasty preservatives, why? because they are cheap. Profit before people's welfare. The growing concern from the public will hopefully change that and our dollar ultimately determines what sits on our shelves. Education is the key and given the toxic load we now place upon ourselves, both with our diet and what we put on our skin, health can only happen by choice, it certainly will not happen by accident. As human beings we ARE MEANING-MAKING MACHINES – that is, we are constantly CREATING AND THEN LIVING INTO the “stories” WE CREATE in our heads…

How is a story created in our heads…. It really is this simple….

SOME THING HAPPENS and we MAKE IT MEAN SOMETHING ELSE and then we live into the meaning WE create as opposed to seeing THE TRUTH OF WHAT REALLY HAPPENED, i.e. SEEING something for what it truly is.

That meaning then becomes our reality or the context in which we live. Sadly, we then see EVERYTHING, EVEN PEOPLE as well as ourselves, through the filter of that context.

As time progresses we gather more and more evidence to support our point of view – a view that is based purely on a story THAT WAS NEVER REAL.

This evidence then further validates our story, OUR EGO AND VALIDATES our NEED TO BE ‘RIGHT” AND OUR NEED, TO PROVE OTHERS WRONG.

Imagine having power over all of this.   How magical would that be?

2013 has been an interesting year from just about everyone I have spoken with and/or who has emailed me. There has been a lot of adjustment occurring in the planets and this has caused challenges in relationships, in family's and things to happen that some people would have never expected.  The underlying reason for this is that, I believe, the universe is pushing us to stand up and be who we say we want to be, to let go of what doesn't serve us and to move forward with grace, love and dignity. During this time of letting go of the ego, there is also resistance and that is why I believe things that have never been experienced are being experienced and the resistance is purely ego based. The ego doesn't want to let go, it wants to be right, to prove others wrong and to judge and when we see past that we can see what truly is in store for us.

Life, with all its ups and downs is still beautiful xxx

Life is a little bit crazy I feel.

As human beings we associate our self worth with things. The things we own and the things we do.  We unconsciously hold back our happiness and decide to be happy when.....  "I will be happy when I have that new house", "I will be happy when I have have that new car". I will be happy when I am relaxing on my holiday in Vanuatu in a month.  Happiness is not about having or doing, happiness is about being and can only truly ever be experienced in the now.

We spend our health creating our wealth, then we spend our wealth recreating our health - why?

It is interesting that we so often forget that our parents are human too, that they started life out in exactly the same way we did yet we see them completely different to us, and to be honest we see them, quite often different to how we see everyone else in our lives.

Parents are people too

The documentary "Miss-Representation" combines all of the subliminal portrayals of women and displays them in collective form for all to see. In this documentary, the viewer witnesses the degree of this portrayal to the point where it cannot be argued that the sexualisation of women isn't blatant and is not occurring. I personally don't read the gossip magazines or watch TV so it came as somewhat of a shock to me to see how obvious and engrained this illusion of women is. It has me concerned enough to write this post and share my views in the hope of helping to bring about a transformation in this area. A transformation will only occur if ALL of society, i.e. male, female - young and old, are aware that it even exists.
