Having produced countless label favourites over recent years, Matt Lange makes a much-anticipated return to Anjunadeep with the double a-side outing of "Way You Know" (feat. Tania Zygar) and "Only You".

Featuring on James Grant's "Anjunadeep 05" mix, the dark and dreamy "Way You Know" blends a deep, drum & bass-influenced approach to sub bass with complex, washing melodies and Tania Zygar's haunting, ethereal vocals. Gradually unfurling to a hypnotic climax with striking pianos, "Way You Know" is another complex gem from the Berklee graduate.

Initially beginning in a more reflective mood with melancholic pianos and organic breakbeats, "Only You" quickly ups the tempo with a chugging tech groove. Again playing heavily on emotion, atmosphere and sonic detailing, "Only You" was a standout track on Jody Wisternoff's "Anjunadeep 05" mix - making Matt one of only two artists to feature original productions on both mixes of the #1 iTunes Dance compilation.

Australian artist Thomas Hayes joins the Arrival roster with "Some Things Never Change", including two remixes by Mrmilkcarton and AKI Amano. We are especially pleased to welcome Thomas Hayes to our label family, whose visionary productions have been receiving tremendous support of late by Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond.

The Original Mix quickly establishes a firm beat with an intriguing bassline underneath. The soundscape is spiced up with numerous vocal effects, as well as well-crafted sidechained pad layers and a subtle background piano melody. The break showcases the piano in full effect combined with the powerful pads, and later, the hypnotizing theme lead is introduced, which leads the track to its zenith.

Mrmilkcarton (US) returns to Arrival with his interpretation of "Some Things Never Change". A floating atmosphere is introduced, including truly mesmerizing bassline stabs and sweeping pad layers on top. In the break, we are introduced to the extremely powerful theme lead, as well as an additional smooth piano lead. The sound of this lead is varied later, proving a great addition to the various theme riffs.

Japanese artist AKI Amano provides us with the second remix -- it starts out with smooth percussion elements and enjoyable background synth riffs. A delayed piano riff emerges in the break, combined with supporting soothing string lines. The track continues with its lively groove, which is spiced up with lush, intermittent vocal stems.

Already showcased on Above & Beyond’s recent BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, Matt Lange’s subtle, beautifully emotive “Bad Year Blimp” is everything that melodic progressive should be. 
Subtle, intricate, layered with emotion and underpinned by a solid hypnotic groove, “Bad Year Blimp” builds and builds towards its cinematic, guitar-strung breakdown – never lingering or staying static too long. 

Adding a slightly alternative flavour to the package, Matt Lange’s “Revolver” is a more taut and menacing affair. Caught somewhere between minimal techno, deep house and progressive, “Revolver” is again stamped with Lange’s trademark attention to detail and intricate sound design.
