The Resonance was formed in 2013 by 5 musicians and friends with the soul purpose of bringing their music to the masses. The group started off as a song writing duo of Steve Remy and Tom Leech. After a year of writing and recording Rio decided to put down his guitar and pick up a bass and join the group. From there on the band started to take off. Next to join the band was Ryan Derwin playing Lead guitar. Within 20 minutes of jamming with the band the lads knew they needed Ryan in the band and luckily for them Ryan knew he needed to join. The band was then introduced to Jamie Honhold (Drums) by a mutual friend and after an outstanding audition he not only impressed on Drums but guitar, bass and piano. The line up was now complete and the lads quickly set about putting a set together for their assault on the Hull music scene. There were now 5 song writers in the band all with different musical influences and tastes with the same passion and drive for making and producing music which in turn resulted in a melting pot of sounds and styles. Impressing all that were lucky enough to be at there first sell out gig with there musicality, swagger and attitude The Resonance had announced themselves as a musical force. Having only been together for 6 weeks before the gig it was clear for everyone to hear and see that The Resonance had all the ingredients of a top group and they were witnessing the beginning of something special. The Resonance are now working on writing and recording there much anticipated debut album so if you get the opportunity to see this band live I would strongly advise that you take it.
