Musically the song was originally inspired by How to See The Sun Rise by Ben Sollee, Sleepwalk, & The Temptations - Earth Angle, but with this band we trade song ideas off so much, you end up with a large number of other influences. Lyrically the song was penned after Thomas's Pet rabbit died, its about life being short. Time wont wait sort of means do what you will, laze around be happy. But time is always moving regardless of what you are doing.
