@djjasperjames' career has come a long way since his arrival on the scene as one of the youngest DJs to play the legendary Sub Club. Emerging from his roots as a leading tastemaker in Glasgow’s vibrant house scene and breaking away from his peers to become more than just a ‘one-to-watch’ but a respected figure in his own right. A DJ and producer with talent that stretches beyond his years, he’s crafted and developed his own brand of off-kilter house and heads-down techno through extended DJ sets at some of the world's most respected clubs including DC10, Fabric, The Warehouse Project, Smartbar, Blitz, Lux, Bobbeaman and of course, Sub Club.

This one is a journey through spoken-word house music of the late 80s and early 90s. This unique sub-genre of house music have always been a fascination of mine and I am very happy to share it with you all.

It features many great spoken word and poetic tracks of the classic house era. There is also a tiny sprinkling of hip-house (sometimes its hard to separate the two styles).  

Many great records did not make the cut so maybe there will be a volume 2 sometime in the future.
