With the new one from Swedish House DJ & producer Johan S and Bournemouth based DJ Oliver Knight who have joined forces on latest Toolroom Trax release ‘Deep Inside’. A stomping Tech House groover that pushes all the right buttons, whipping the dance floor up into a frenzy. Although it is a Trax debut for Oliver Knight and a return to form for Johan S, as the pair cement a collaboration that is set to be one of THE best releases on the imprint label this year.

Bringing nothing but late-night club vibes on this one, ‘Deep Inside’ is a full blown, pumping Tech House stomper, with a Piano House feel that resonates throughout the track. Throwing in that classic 90’s House & Break Beat style, Johan S & Oliver Knight switch up the mood of the record using lush piano chords and deep, soulful vocal melody repeating “feel the music deep inside”, to break up from the ground shaking rhythm. ‘Deep Inside’ is a huge collab from these artists and one perfect for the Trax imprint, expect to hear this one on repeat for the rest of summer 2021.

People Lose Control

I was in the UK last year after a massive summer of touring, caught the train down to Brighton with some friends, and ended up in an incredible studio overlooking the beach. I was missing home a bit, but feeling really inspired and wanted to write a feel-good record, reminding myself of the importance of saving time for the ones I care and love. Whilst (In the studio) overlooking the same site Fatboy Slim hosted his ‘Big Beach Boutique’, I was thinking about the UK’s dance music history, it inspired me, and decided to lean into the idea of writing something that sounds sampled, but isn't. I often like to write records completely on my own, but it feels so perfect to have written this one alongside some good pals — Clementine Douglas, Caitlin Stubbs & Toby Scott.
