My first upload onto Soundcloud - so just a test really. I wrote this song a few years ago after a walk on the cliffs of Southern England on a day when you could see across to the coast of France. I thought of what it must have been like to live here during the war and I wrote this song with that in mind. Thanks to Phil Little for the use of his studio - and thanks to the neighbourhood seagulls for their contribution, via a microphone stuck out of the window.
