The Rider Raiders are a funky four piece brass band comprised of some of Toronto’s grooviest and most accomplished musicians. Born in a canoe at Harbourfront in 2017, they’ve been stalwarts on the Ossington and Queen west club scene ever since, raising spirits with an infectious blend of groovy funk jazz and classic covers at Reposado Bar every Saturday night. The band features Juno Award winning alto sax player Richard Underhill, lyrical jazz trumpet player Tim Hamel, world renowned drummer phenom Great Bob Scott and well respected rock bassist Mike Pellarin. 

Festival presenters are taking notice of the band and the Rider Raiders performed at the Toronto Jazz Festival in 2022 and 2023, the Toronto Fringe Festival in 2023, the Acton Solstice Festival 2022 and Nuit Blanche North in Huntsville 2023. More festival performance and a debut recording are in the works for 2024.
