Michael Maxwell is a songwriter, guitarist, singer and more. Honed on rock and roll "since I was a kid," Michael has toured, recorded and performed with several fantastic bands in the "East Bay Area" where he comes from. Cut his first record at 16, lived and toured in Europe and now records in his own home studio. ..... "the music keeps me young and busy". 
He has 3 CDs out now, "Mystery", "Out of the Blue" and "Plugged into the World". A 4th CD, "Best Of" and a brand new CD (to be released early next year). Michael Maxwell is a veteran musician of forty plus years. He started playing guitar in 1959, and is self-taught. Originally from the San Francisco Bay area (Hayward, California), he's created a very unique following there. Now he continues to write and record in his home studio where he plays all of the instruments and does all vocals on his CDs as well as tracking, mixing and mastering them. Mike's music has a modern yet nostalgic rock feel to it, but goes a bit beyond. 

Michael sings, plays guitar, guitar synthesizer, bass, drums and other instruments. He started playing his first professional jobs at age 15 and started playing night clubs at age 17. His first studio work was at 16 years old when records were pressed on New York's MTA label with the band "The Rear Exit". The Rear Exit has been featured in Bruce Tahslers first and second book, "Garage Bands of the '60's". That book made it into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Mike has won songwriting awards from both Billboard and American Songwriting contests. 

He's toured Vancouver, B.C., Washington, Oregon, Lake Tahoe, Europe. opening for Heart and Roger Collins. Secret Weapon (NY based R&B Band... filled in for them on Bass in Brussels, Belgium and Germany), Race n' Rhythm (Bay Area R&B Band), Rear Exit, Circuit Breakers, Mile Hi (power rockers), Whale, Long Distance (formerly Old Gold), The Michael Maxwell Band and many others.
