There was this lizard in my sink earlier. It was a blue-belly lizard. It was small. It was slipping around. I tried trapping it under a coffee cup. I thought I had it, but it slipped out somehow and went down into the drain. I tried flooding it out. I tried sticking my hand down. It took like a half hour of my morning.
I shined a flashlight down into the garbage disposal. I figured it'd gone, but when I came back a while later it was trying to climb out. I put a leaf down. It tried grabbing onto the leaf but it slipped. I didn't think anything of it. I wasn't going to run the garbage disposal. I figured it'd make it's way out or down the drain, so I loaded up the dishwasher and turned it on. The dishwasher drained into the disposal. The drain filled. I thought it'd flush him to the top, but when I reached in I burned my hand. I let it finish draining, but I knew he was dead. I fished around and found the little thing all bloated. Its eyes were milky white and its tail was missing.
