Had the pleasure to play late night, 2AM-4AM local time, for the We Had Plans Livestream. We Had Plans has been a highly anticipated annual event in Denver for years. While there was no in-person gathering this year, it was a real treat to get the opportunity to play a prime slot. 

For such an occasion, I wanted to keep the energy high, showcase some of the sounds I am seeking and admiring, yet keep the trippy to a maximum.

Enjoy this mix while it is up. I may not keep it up for long, or perhaps I'll cut it down to make room for more music in the near future.

Robonix - We Had Plans 2021

Here is my opening set for the Black Asteroid warehouse party in Denver. This was my first time playing a proper afterhours party and first time playing on a well tuned Funktion One rig since before the pandemic so it was a real treat. I've been really feeling the really quick, snappy styles of techno, but as an opening set it was fun to explore some slower, more spacey tracks, while making it a mission to keep up the energy and rhythm. Robonix at Elevated Frequencies Ft. Black Asteroid

This is my warmup set to prep the floor for Brunson and Waajeed at the new 1134 Broadway pop-up club. This is a very unique space with a killer Danley Sound Labs rig. I haven't really put energy into a house set in many years, but after heading out to Detroit for Movement weekend I was inspired by so much of the quality house music I heard. I really went for the techno, and while there was some of the best techno sets I've ever heard, the house music in the day time was so incredibly refreshing. Listening back to this set a couple of times I am quite happy with how I played. 

This set is brimming with deep, dubby, and jazzy cuts from Detroit mainstays by the likes of Carl Craig and Norm Talley, along with cuts from around the world from the likes of DoubtingThomas, Detroit Swindle, and many more. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed digging and playing.

This is the live recording of my set from Eddy Out 2023. I played this all vinyl mix late afternoon before Eddy Out/Crowdpleaser founder/member/owner Tess. It was a tremendous honor to have been selected for this set, and I wanted to do it proper by showcasing the breadth of my collection and my ability to move between genres. Expect deep, trippy techno, left field breaks, electro, dubby minimal house.

Robonix - Loud Voices are Visible on Cold Nights

This is an all vinyl mix, mostly records I have received in the last 6 months. The mix touches on dub and minimal techno, deep house, breaks and electro with programming that builds in intensity and tempo that ranges from roughly 120bpm-135bpm. 

I have not been playing records as often lately and my mixes are admittedly not as tight as I want them to be, nevertheless the slips are short, minor, and, in my opinion, excusable. Especially considering the overall flow of the mix. I hope you'll agree. Please listen, enjoy, and I welcome any feedback or criticism.

Robonix - Vinyl Mix Jan 2024

This is my submission to the Re/Form Spring 2024 DJ Competition. I have been wanting to head out to LA to experience the parties out there for some time. When I saw the first round of this lineup announced, I immediately set out to make arrangments to go. While I have not yet been to LA for an event, the city has garnered a reputation of having one of the strongest and most forward thinking underground electronic music scenes in the US. Whether they are exhibiting artists with legendary status spanning several decades, US debuts of emerging international artists, or offering a shot at the decks to a promising local or regional DJ, the responses to their parties appear to be never short of highly revered. As such, it would be overwhelming honor and privilege to be included among the ranks of the artists booked by Dirty Epic, 6AM, and Synthetik Minds. 

Some of the artists on this lineup have been incredibly influential to me and their tracks make their way into my DJ sets on a regular basis, so this one is particularly special to me. I will be there either way, but I hope you'll support me by listening and sharing thoughts to this mix which was inspired by this party.

As a submission for a chance at an opening slot, I wanted this mix to showcase some of the deeper and more hypnotic areas of modern, futuristic techno. While it certainly listens with a considerable amount of cerebral depth, I was sure to still infuse a healthy dose of driving energy and groovy rhythm and my typical incorporation of the occasional broken beat.

This is a single take, on the fly mix, recorded at 11PM on Monday night the day I returned home from The Great Beyond. I debated making this public because admittedly it took zero planning and I know that there is a mistake or two. Nevertheless, before recording the mix, I downloaded over 130 brand new tracks and threw them in a playlist for a jam with an emphasis on energy riding and hypnotic maintenance. The Great Beyond inspires me in ways I could only imagine in my dreams. I hope you are inspired by this mix as much as I was before recording it. Inspired by the warm transition from Summer to Fall and a picturesque setting along the gorgeous Boulder Reservoir with a backdrop of the iconic Flatirons. 

Unfortunately, I do not have the track listing for this one, but I’m happy to hunt down any of the tunes upon request. Expect 2 hours of dubby minimal house with a touch of deep electro breaks.

Robonix - Still... 2023

This is the live recording from my set opening for Detroit's Huey Mnemonic for Quite Right Records SYN-TEK series on May 31st, 2025. For this one I tried to keep it very electro leaning, but since I'm not one to sit with one style for long you can expect the mix to touch in on techno, 2 steppy ukg, minimal, proggy breaks, and dub leaning leftfield bass. 

Unfortunately, Rekordbox didn't seem to save my tracklist. If anyone is curious of any of the tracks, don't hesitate to reach out and i'll track it down.
