The Ruby Tuesdays - Man of the People

Blackburn’s own Alt-Rock quartet The Ruby Tuesdays return with their new single “Who You Running From (Dryden Sessions)”, a reimagined take on their debut single with a slower more psychedelic edge without losing the power and ferocity that makes the Tuesdays’ sound. “Who You Running From?” is a commentary on the mundane of life and a question as to why we should be content with the ordinary.

Blackburn’s Alt-Rock quartet The Ruby Tuesdays return with their first release on Golden Robot Records “She's Got You”, a blistering fever of gritty instrumentation and powerful vocal arrangements. This track is the epitome of what makes heavy hitting rock music, a fusion of past and present influences to create a rock anthem recorded at Red City Recordings by David Radahd-Jones (Death Blooms, Jordan Allen, Boston Manor)

She's Got You is the band's satyrical take on a typical love song, turning it on its head and dissecting the grittier aspects of relationships. Lyrically laying bare the tantalising frustrations that can become apparent during ones time with another and matching this feeling with impassioned instrumentation and a driving power that leaves the listener wanting more and more has resulted in some of The Tuesdays' best work yet.

Man of the People is a commentary on the importance of the North on Britain's culture and economy, and the lack of support and funding the UK government. Living in an austerity hit Northern workers town Blackburn, each member of the band have seen the effects of the government's neglect on their environment. This track is The Ruby Tuesdays’ championing their hometown and venting their anger with the Status Quo, through their own revolution rock tune.

She's Got You

Feel So Good is The Tuesdays’ nod to the West Coast Grunge movement that swept the 90’s, a detuned rock anthem that’s lyrics hit as hard as its instrumentation. The song is a youthful rebellion on social normality and the grueling reality of conformation - it sets out to try and dissect the inner conflict of a young person in the UK  coming of age into adulthood.
