Cosmicleaf features ZERO CULT in this episode with a studio mix of the new album 'Imagine Paradox'. Zero Cult is the project of Emil Ilyayev from Israel, who has been producing electronic music for well over a decade. The project was born in 2003 after discovering the new sound of downtempo and chill out music in the underground scene. Emil's music has a unique sound, that combines mysterious melodies and vibes with downtempo beats. His debut album "Art of Harmony" was described as the best chill album of 2006. Combining carefully designed textures with dreamlike atmospheres and a solid rhythmic structure, Zero Cult sends us on a new journey through his original musical universe. His discography is a collection of contemporary ambient gems, that demands frequent listening and will surprise you with new sounds bursting out from nowhere. Since I ended that set with unreleased music, I trimmed the last two tracks and added two tracks to the beginning in the studio. Some new music mixed with some classic favorites!" Here's a lil mix for you who may appreciate this
It's been an interesting year for music... The abrupt halt in us sharing music in live contexts definitely shook me up in ways, and the ups and downs of my creative process have made me wonder lately what really matters in all this to me.
I tried on existing with the stress of "needing to figure out how to redesign my career" to make it more "worth(?) it" without shows , the thought maybe i need more followers and more posts and more likes , to be "better(?)" or "bigger(?)"
Some days i'd open the studio door and wonder : "is this officially an office job now???? really, is it???
Is music but a product to be sold in some capitalist system?
Fuck no.
the studio to me is meant to be a temple, a safe-haven for expression and creativity.
this music is a gift to be shared. it's a vibe that has connected people for times immemorial, in continuously evolving forms. so much bigger than any individual.

I wanna take a moment to say thank you if you've been a listener, and if this music has moved you or inspired you, that means the most to me.
You're more than just another follower or like , you're part of this world with me.

Our world is going through some crazy times, and  i think it is very important for us to question the ways we relate to each other as humans, and what our true value systems are. Each of us has an input on reality.

Ive been putting out music on solstice for years now, but had to take some deep moments this year for myself to remember...
i love music, creating is a pleasure to me, and i love sharing it as well
i believe we are all connected through this web of life
so i offer these sounds as a gift

For our 38th installment of the Rusted Rhythms series, Rust family favorites pheel. and parkbreezy have resurrected their Featherbed set to showcase loads of original tracks and a few choice flips and remixes. Co-founders of the all.Lo label, and the brains behind the Morning Coffee project, these two producer/dj's have their fingers on the pulse of trip-hop's many varieties, creating their signature blends through an infusion head-nod fundamentals with ample servings of saturated bass weight.

Right from the jump, they zero in on the vibe of the hour, delivering smooth cuts of collaged melodies and brackish drum breaks. Their own individual styles meet at the nexus of broken beats and juiced-up sub frequencies, balancing the high of a listening experience with the pull of a physical experience. They were even gracious enough to mix in a Groovsauce track, courtesy of their live project with Thought Process.
