The release is the first Various Artists EP released on Nayel and the project combines a variety of nuances that shapes Nayel’s DNA. From techno to ambient and experimental music, Chrysalide is the last project of the Nayel’s first arc, unveiling the dawn of a new stage for the label’s direction. Other artists on the release include G.xist, Guillaume Tiger, Huma, Nameless and Nijemi. Today we are thrilled to host this industrial electronic work from Øperat.

Out Of Ordinary by Øperat, taken from Uncanny Valleys Vol​.​II VA, released on Area Z on 03.12.2020.

“Uncanny Valleys” compilation series is related to the theory introduced by japanese robotitian Mori Masahiro back in 1970, referring to the paradoxical perception of the existing similarities between robots and human beings.

This second opus focuses on ‘Industrial’ music through a variety of genres and interpretations of the genres aesthetics. Opening with an infused four to the floor selection cut with a slice of power ambient, the compilation evolves into a rawer shape, with industrial, noise that embraces either nihilistic or romantic intentions.

Taking a look at music that is influenced by a genre, created in the times where the concept was created, helps us to grasp the links between the theory and music, both inspired by the development of technologies and its influences on both personal and societal aspects.

Every purchase comes with a .pdf file with the reasoning behind the volume and artists bios.

Influenced heavily by the metallic and industrial sounds that surround him at his day job, Veldt (HANDS, Industrial Detroit) channels those sounds into a rhythmic chamber, filled with electronics that hint to influences from the Rhythmic Noise, Industrial, and Techno strata. While residing in Detroit, Michigan, Veldt works closely and in partnership with Industrial Detroit. Interrupting new circuits with a purpose.

Among these lovely, distorted originals, two impressive remixes by Øperat and Nick Viola are also included.
