Born in Massachusetts, raised in Vermont and migrated to California where San Francisco is home, I have consumed all things Hip-Hop since I was old enough to listen to cassettes. 

I started writing rhymes in high school, and got somewhat serious once I linked up with Shape. We recorded countless songs on a Tascam 4-track and performed at all the local Vermont spots; Nectars, Higher Ground, 242 Main, & Metronome to name a few.

I recorded a few songs after moving to San Francisco, but effectively retired in 2006 while focusing on other pursuits; filming skateboarding and post production/video editing. 

The move to Oakland in 2010 proved the inspiration needed to get back with the pen and paper. The official release of the first Swamp Lake (Just Musica & Skope) album, "Bombay' was May 11, 2011.
