It has been a real honor to play at Camp DISTRIKT for the very first time in a year of complete novelty for several reasons: a new location right on the edge of the playa with almost nothing around it, giving it a truly special feeling. Also, it was a sunset to nighttime slot that was debuted with my set and those of my colleagues... and on a day when Carl Cox and Sharam had performed before me. A real challenge. That's DISTRIKT—once the first track plays, the crowd's energy takes over and the session flows effortlessly. An absolute delight. Looking forward to returning.

Commanding the rave at DISTRIKT has been a decade long dream of ours that finally came true this year. DISTRIKT was on absolute fire going into the night - a new chapter in the DISTRIKT saga. It was a real honor for us to close out Tuesday after the legendary Robot Heart tie-up. We came in ready to peak surrounded by all our Miki Beach family. This debut set is fast paced and charged with energy to launch the rave into Deep Playa oblivion. It was an exhilarating experience to bring our Miami flavor to DISTRIKT for its inaugural night program, a Burning Man moment we will always cherish. 

Thank you to all who danced with us that night - for those who missed it, this mix is a portal to DISTRIKT 10&K Tuesday, Aug 29, 2023 @ 2am.

Thirty five years of professional DJing this summer! 

I have spent many past posts musing about the early days, so I will spare you words of nostalgia today. Instead, I want to hit you with the kind of set that I feel is an accumulation of my past experiences of what works on a dance floor, what I personally love, and which of those sounds I feel connect with what's happening today. 

Music has largely stopped giving us anything truly new in the past decade, but the absence of newness doesn't mean we shouldn't discover music that is new to US, and sometimes we should also remind ourselves of the great eras, genres and grooves we may have forgotten. So today, instead of giving you newness, I present to you my musical opinion on contemporary timelessness.

I would personally dance my ass off to this set. LMK if you would too.

2024; EMBRACE THE RETRO

The last few years have been a true practice of letting go, living in the moment, and embracing all the uncertainty of this beautiful & crazy world. There's something incredibly special about the world renowned Stereobar in Montreal. The sound, the staff, the dancer: it all come together to provide a high quality experience to everyone involved. I had the chance to play and blend music styles for 5 hours that night, and here are the last 3,5 hours. From acid to house to indie to italo to dico to techno, we covered it all. That night still lives in my head as one burst of hedonism fuelled by music, joy and being present in the moment, thanks to the no-phone policy.
