Ivy is the first single to be taken from the debut album of These Hidden Hands, the latest collaborative project between Tommy Four Seven (CLR, Stroboscopic Artefacts) and Alain (One Million Mangos).

Combining spatial rhythms, celestial melodies, and hazy nostalgia, it presents a tantalising glimpse into the aesthetics behind the forthcoming self-titled album. Remixes are delivered by Vatican Shadow and Lakker, who further reference the 90's IDM influence, whilst maintaining their own distinct sounds.

The single comes on transparent vinyl, with hand stamped covers.

These Hidden Hands return after a 4 year hiatus with a new two track EP featuring Zanias, titled, 'Shackles.' 

The group builds upon their previous work embodied in These Moments Dismantled, in juxtaposing brutal futuristic electronic compositions with delicate female vocals. The A side, 'Shackles,' confronts the listener with a wall of distorted bass elevated to soaring heights with swarms of aggressive cimbasso and horn blasts shifting between harmony and dissonance, while the voice of Zanias waxes and is eclipsed by the enormity of the wall of sound. The music itself stands on the edge of the limits of the dancefloor. The flip side, 'Change of Tide' sees the duo explore a deeper, faster tempo murky soundscape of future-dnb also permeated by Zanias's hypnotic voice

When Told (Atom™ Remix)

The experimental electronics duo These Hidden Hands return with a 12" Single featuring vocal contributions from Lucrecia Dalt and artwork by Jesse Draxler. An extrapolation of the the ideas explored on the debut album, this new single comprises of two cuts, leading the listener through abstract sonic terrain, drawn from the cavernous outer reach of intelligent sound design.

‘These Moments Dismantled’ a lesson of the vulnerability of musical space juxtaposed with dense apocalypticism.

‘Variant’ is reportedly a self-remix of the A side. Abrasive layering of complex textures that jerk between tension and release, where a heightened sense of drama seeps through from the frosty low-howl noir of Dalt’s vocals.

Despite this single constituting a completely independent work as an artistic collaboration between These Hidden Hands, Dalt and Draxler, we will see more from These Hidden Hands in 2016.

After These Hidden Hands re-surfaced earlier this year with the collaborative single These Moments Dismantled featuring Lucrecia Dalt, Tommy Four Seven and Alain Paul a.k.a. Shards are set to release Vicarious Memories, their second full length LP, on August 8th 2016.

Vicarious Memories builds substantially upon the sound forged with their debut album and brings a considerable new level of detail, complexity, and musicality, which ranges from flowing mellifluous grooves, somber drones, to the outright bizarre and unexpected. Although loosely an instrumental electronic album, the album makes extensive use of guitar and vocals and features prominent guest vocal contributions from underground Berlin based musicians Julia Kotowski and Ale Hop. The album’s preceding single, SZ31X71, a track which features on the LP is out July 11th, featuring a remix by revered Tri Angle artist, Roly Porter.

Vicarious Memories will be released via the group’s own imprint, Hidden Hundred available both digitally and as a 12″ vinyl LP featuring gatefold cover art by Norwegian illustrator Anders Røkkum.

The second edition of “Vicarious Memories” by These Hidden Hands realises 5 finely crafted remixes of last year’s expansive LP of the same title. This version features powerful reworks from Telefon Tel Aviv, Hypoxia, Lustmord, JK Flesh and Death In Vegas, out on June 23rd, 2017.

Telefon Tel Aviv offers up his reinterpretation of “Glasir;” a solemnly disconcerting reduction of the original flooded with warmth, depth and space. This is followed by a contribution from Hypoxia a.k.a the illustrious Drumcell, who makes his mark on the beautiful vocalised track “Telepath,” imparting a heavy sense of melancholia and depth on to the listener. A dark atmosphere is woven by Lustmord on his remake of “Socotra,” with its enveloping celestial melodies and ominous reverberating drones that unfold throughout. JK Flesh boosts the energy of the release with his distinguishably distorted mix of industrial, dub and power electronics that shuffle and roll the listener along this spectrally bright reincarnation of “Dendera Light.” British producer Death In Vegas embraces the mystical facet of “Angkor;” patiently exploring serene soundscapes with much depth and colour.

Spheres is the first in a series of “documents” by Research, which intends to unite a diverse selection of artists around a common theme. The inspiration for this initial document comes from artist and mathematician Timothy Cresswell, whose carving of spheres covered in mathematical figures – a holistic, meditative process he refers to as “tuning” – has taken place for over fifty years and has inspired the art direction of his son Daniel. 

The leadoff track “Radon” from These Hidden Hands – the production duo of Tommy Four Seven and Alain Paul – does so with a red-toothed yet synthetic menace and with percussive patterns like an artillery barrage. Mondkopf then dials back the aggression somewhat for his piece “The Runaway,” yet keeps the sense of transformative tension running high with sculpted static, nervous Geiger counter ticking and majestic layered synths. SNTS closes out the A-side with the appropriately named “Dunkelheit,” a slow and steady audio journey – complete with dramatic pauses – through black rains and monolithic structures used for ritualistic purposes. The B-side opens with Oake’s “Blemmyae,” a slowly unfurling mass of audio fog whose hypnotically austere rhythm track – almost entirely composed from a single martial snare hit and a punishing digital bass drum – is used as bait to lure listeners into a force field of precisely interwoven drones and doppler-effect mayhem. Headless Horseman sustains this atmosphere with a club track for an alien homeworld: a dense mixture of shuddering / shattering percussion, imperious synth swells and crackling bursts of raw electricity. Grebenstein’s “Meet My Needs” delivers the final statement for this particular document, utilizing carefully segmented white noise and synthesized pulmonary sound as the basis for an ascension to uncharted mental realms.
