Activists and fervent rave militants The Driver and Electric Rescue come together for a superb new EP as W.LV.S. It lands on ASTROPOLIS Records and features vocals from Louisahhh and remixes from Cuften and Tommy Four Seven.
Our choice here is remix by fast-rising young artist and new label signee Cuften. He has also released on Marc Acardipane’s Planet Phuture, and this remix of 'Orca' has rough analogue machines carving out a retro-electro banger.

“WOMB” marks OTTOMAN GRÜW’s first long format release and debut release on @x-img. This seven track album seamlessly integrates his varied influences, showcasing his adeptness at traversing the expansive possibilities of Industrial inspired electronic music. Ominous atmospheres and rhythms cross between EBM, Techno, Electropunk and Ambient, with infectious vocal elements found throughout. The album also features collaborations with like minded artists such as Prophän, Incendie and Lvcerate.

The idea behind “WOMB” stems from the enigmatic relationship we cultivate with the divine - especially in our times of global sorrow, where faith wavers or seems elusive. The layer of noise by which every track is surrounded echoes the yearning of souls adrift. This spiritual disquiet is mirrored by the album’s sonic exploration of body horror, dissecting the vulnerability of our physical existence while reflecting the pervasive anxiety of our own impermanence. Where do we go when we dissolve?

Interstate Records is a newborn independent record label based between London and Berlin. It´s run by the up-and-coming duo Dial Tone and aims to provide a vibrant and diverse platform for emerging and established artists within the Techno scene, whilst occasionally touching upon Ambient and other experimental music spheres. Co-founder and label custodian Zanias makes her debut on Fleisch with a journey through climate catastrophe. Composed in Berlin and mixed in Queensland with the smell of bushfire smoke in the air, she addresses the primary anxiety of our time with four tracks designed to draw the body into movement and the mind into action. Body music elements are wrought with mournful melodies and studded with samples recorded from the fast-disappearing natural world, while her voice guides the way through the darkness.
