We are New York City firemen in the Bronx.  
Several years ago, David Lee Roth worked up here as an EMT.  He told Jason a secret once after a medical emergency as the ambulance was pulling away.  It is still a secret, and Jason won't budge on exactly what Diamond Dave said.  Yet, what we do know is that we needed to write songs, play our songs, and do high kicks/splits in the air.  
Embroidered on our brains are the songs of bands such as Belle and Sebastian, Fugazi, The Smiths, Sunnyday Real Estate, Bon Iver, and The Shins.  
When you wake to sirens and blaring horns in the middle of the night, we don't mean to wake you.  We are just trying not to hit anybody.
