Dream Girl is an upbeat pop-punk-revival style song about finding that special someone in your life and telling them how you truly feel. You know that sensation of butterflies in your stomach? The thought of having finally met the perfect person to compliment your own life. It's simultaneously scary as hell and the most exciting feeling you've ever known. That's what inspired me to write Dream Girl.

Ever been completely obsessed with someone you could never have? "Saving Aleah" is the song I wrote about that feeling. It was back in high school for me. Aleah was the prettiest and most popular girl, and I was unbelievably lucky to sit next to her in choir. You know that alluring sweet spot where the tenors meet the altos? That was us, musically and... well, in my head at least. She was taken, but in my teenage mind, he just didn't get her. "He could never love you like I do."
This song was initially only for myself to hear, but one day, our teacher assigned us a project to showcase an original piece of music. Feeling brave, I decided to perform Saving Aleah for her, and the entire class. Years later, I still remember when we got voted most likely to become famous, and her heartfelt yearbook letter to me. The Ballad of a Broken Band.
This song is a blast from my past, inspired by a real-life betrayal from someone I considered a close friend, a bandmate no less. We shared dreams of making music together, but those dreams were shattered when he decided to make a play for the girl I was dating.
Fueled by jealousy, he spun a web of lies to try and paint me as the villain. Little did he know, he  would end up achieving the opposite of what he intended. Not only did he fail to win her over, but he exposed himself as a liar, fracturing our friendship and earning the scorn of our entire friend group.
This song is an expression of the emotions I felt then – the anger, the hurt, and ultimately, a sense of vindication. It's a story about loyalty, deception, and the lengths people will go to when blinded by their desires. More than that, it's a testament to how in the end, the truth will always prevail.
Listen closely, and you might hear the echos of a broken friendship, the sting of betrayal, and the triumphant defiance of a love that wouldn't be swayed by lies. If you've ever had a friend betray your trust, you know the sting. This song's for you.

When I was 16 I got to see Boys Like Girls on the Soundtrack Of Your Summer tour. Needless to say, it was amazing. I've always loved the song Thunder since I first heard it, back then there was only an acoustic version that seems hard to find these days. So this is my version, it's sort of half acoustic, half not. Hope you enjoy.
