The sky hangs low, as if the heavens themselves want to rest. A man sits quietly, his shoulders speak of yesterday. The trees are bare, but not empty—they carry memories in every branch that no longer blooms. His hands rest like forgotten prayers, his gaze seeks no answer, only a place to stay. Mist creeps over the water, like thoughts that do not want to disappear. And yet: the silence is not an enemy. It is a cloak, a gentle boundary between what was and what may still come.

De lucht hangt laag,
alsof de hemel zelf wil rusten.
Een man zit stil,
zijn schouders spreken van gisteren.
De bomen zijn kaal,
maar niet leeg—
ze dragen herinneringen
in elke tak die niet meer bloeit.
