The Sessions Recordings exist since 2004. Label honcho C-Jay started the label back in those days cause he wanted to have total freedom in what to produce and when to release it, whilst trying to get the attention of the bigger labels.
Well, as most of you know by now that pretty much succeeded. C-Jay doesn’t need the label anymore to be creatively free, as he can do pretty much what he wants on other labels. But on the other hand it would be a shame not to do anything with the label anymore, as it had a grown a good reputation in only a short while.

So, C-Jay decided to continue the label in 2006 on a digital basis. Since early 2007 the label releases appeared for a few years on both digital and physical (CD) format and between 2008 and 2010 several succesfull releases came out, including C-Jay’s first artist album. (also on physical CD)

The label is managed by world renowned UK based Critical Rhythm Label Management / Baroque Records, giving The Sessions Recordings the benefit of their experience throughout the years, incredible netwerk and high profile business to consumer system. Mastering is done by some of the world’s best mastering studio’s.
