Unpredictable / rolling / dubby moods coming in from Chicago based youngin' Ross never failing to amaze.  First time we saw Ross play was closing our TTTT 1 yr Chicago party with Garrett D. & Leja Hazer.  After completely stunning myself and the remaining 6am dancers, we had to get him on an hour.

Los Angeles-based producer and DJ Cromie @cromie stays close to home with his debut on the Los Angeles via Chicago label These Things Take Time. After an exquisite release on Amadeus and recent appearances on 100% Silk and 00:AM, Cromie graces the label with his rare yet striking sounds for its fourth release. 

The EP opens with title track “Informal Path”, conjuring a thrilling and tranquil flavor for the dance floor through its evolving phases and magnetic lead. “PPLout” follows, bringing Cromie’s signature outer-worldly & heavy-hitting sound design. The track burns slow and pulsates at its peak with sustained diva vocals. The flip introduces a tender and masterful remix of “Informal Path” from Atlanta’s hidden gem Stefan Ringer @rekchampa — a truly special flip with a killer bassline surprise. “Maintenant” closes the EP, highlighting Cromie’s strengths with swinging percussion, blissed pads and skipping arps.

The opening track cuts immediately into the charming, familiar sound the Los Angeles based producer has become known for. Breezy yet relentless, the percussive-driven title track "Metroid" sits next to its equally club friendly neighbor, “Polaris.” On the flip, “Static Dancer” highlights the west coast brilliance of early Pacific Northwestern rave communities. The EP concludes with “Orbital,” a paced swinger built for the 7am floor mopping. An impressive take on house music with various recognizable influences, hitting each point it needs to make it one of the best discs TTTT has released to date.

An ocean breeze gently pushes open the curtain of the beach cottage, letting in the sliver of sunshine you needed to wake up from an afternoon nap. The second aperol spritz is on the way and the faint hum of Lee Hazard's debut EP glides through the air around you. 

The emotion and talent throughout this extended play is extraordinary for such a young artist. The opener ‘Out Of Side’ is the uber-personal ode to Lee’s first car. The production and lyrical blend creates the near ubiquitous summer jam. Right behind is ‘You Find Me Restless’ which is just a top form banger, built for that last party of the summer. The flip includes two blissful, yet still energetic rips that hold the familiar sound Lee is creating throughout the entire Out Of Sight EP. 

Definitely one to listen through front to back, proud to welcome Lee Hazard to the In Passing and These Things Take Time crew. Dig in!
