Through swirling loops of guitar FX, the Sewer Cats emerge menacingly from the shadows with their politically charged new single ‘Get It’.
 
Following on from the debut album ‘Cute Aggression’, the duo further explore their wide pool of influences while harnessing the chaotic sounds of the live performances The Sewer Cats are known for across the DIY punk scene.
 
Lyrically, the song is a scathing satirical attack on consumerism, influencer culture, and toxic pervading political ideals: that we should all aspire to chase wealth and power… and trickle-down economics will take care of the rest. To hell with everyone else!
 
The paired down angular post-punk sounds and sarcastic vocal delivery in the verse only serves as a contrast as The Sewer Cats, once again, launch into full on feral attack mode with a trademark catchy shout-a-long chorus served with a huge wall of fuzz.

The Sewer Cats are a garage punk duo from Manchester, UK. Comprised of a furious drummer/front-woman and an angsty guitarist, the band has an unconventional setup that packs a punch. 

The Sewer Cats’ short and snappy songs have been described as ‘catchy and scathing’, bursting with hooky riffs and aggressive riot-grrrl vocals. Loud, energetic and visceral live performances have gained The Sewer Cats a following in the DIY punk scene, being billed for Manchester Punk Festival 2020 after only a year playing as a band. 

The Sewer Cats released their debut EP ‘Zelda’(named after their cat) on Hell Hath No Fury records in April 2020.
