The Shapes' latest single is an offering of Cocteau Twins-inspired Dream Pop with an emphasis on synthesizers and distant vocals.  The song is inspired by David Lynch's Twin Peaks and was constructed as a eulogy to Laura Palmer.

The Shapes are a husband/wife duo that experiment in Synthwave, Dream Pop and Synthpop, and often employ themes of horror cinema. Inspired by the music of John Carpenter as much as Depeche Mode and Beach House, The Shapes are one of the most unique acts in their style. The idea for the project was formed soon after the couple were married in the Summer of 2018, releasing their first instrumental Synthwave album in that same October. The planned follow-up has a strong presence of vocal tracks, and an overall emphasis on polished production techniques.
