It is often said that a songʼs
meaning is in the ear of the
beholder...The Last Thing
serves just that. Whether itʼs a
relationship, politics, or just
life...this ethereal ballad could as
easily visit not telling someone
you love them when you leave
their presence to the madness
and lies espoused in the current
political landscape: “the last
thing you said, was what you
didnʼt say”. Eventually, a person
or a society can take no more
abuse and must “look away...run
away...fade away”.

The Shimmernugs consists of three North Carolina musicians, Tad Mariner (Lead Vocals and Guitar), Eddoe Smigs (Backing Vocals and Bass) and Jon Zimmerman (Backing Vocals and Drums). "Whispering Too Loud" will be the Rock Trio's first EP release after forming in early 2020. Three out of work musicians, quarantined to a studio due to Covid-19, with nothing else to do but create music!
