I love this key as well.. i also love the instances where it's major becomes a Picardy third at the end, Becoming F-sharp major

I've always found F-Sharp Minor a particularly bleak key - not sombre, but filled with hopelessness, where everything good would slowly fade into shadow. This portrays that perfectly, in what may be the darkest character in this entire series.

Paolo, what a blessing to come across this outstanding CBC production by accident in the car.  Together with our 12-yr-old son we were mesmerized. Educational, thought provoking, sensitive, enjoyable, indescribably sensuous.  A lovely musical experience to share with family in today' society.

I have been listening to all these since the start.... absolutely fascinating.... love the music and the commentary. I play this one on flute "Pavane"

Noticing that there are flutes in this. Does this mean F#m is the key for flute? I play in all keys on flute with equal happiness.

I think of flutes as happier than this. Flute is my first instrument.... spiritual for me.
