the snow coast is an instrumental musical project by iain stepek, drawing on influence from atmosphere-driven genres including post-rock, dark folk and post-minimalism. the snow coast songbook, vol. 1 was released in august 2020, representing the first of several planned volumes of the snow coast catalogue. one day, iain hopes that the snow coast will morph into a true ensemble capable of performing and recording these songs live. so stay tuned for all of that!

iain stepek was born in scotland and is currently based in nagoya, japan, via time spent in switzerland, california and aimlessly wandering the world with a backpack. in his spare time, he makes molecules and climbs mountains.
