Kenzo first came to us a few weeks back and we instantly knew he needed to be involved. The main sound i want to push for myself consists of 7, 8, 9 minute long progressive house tunes with long intro & outro drums, brining back the long mixes in overall hopes to take listeners on a journey they’ll remember. However i am well rehearsed in other genres such as electriconica, meaty/raw bass lines or even proper techno known as groove nowadays.
You’ll never know what you’re getting with a kenzo set 🙂 my biggest dj inspirations is a most likely ogazon for her set structures or dj pipe for his signature bongos & overall collection

we first met MVRK back in april when he played the first laugh event, and he’s been a regular ever since. his sets have that heavy bass feel he’s always been drawn to, with early 2000s tech house being a big part of his sound right now. through his residency, he’s planning to move through different styles and show more of the music he’s been digging for. Pawsa was the one who first got him into house music, and more recently miller’s had a big influence on his sound and mixing style. that idea of blending different styles while keeping the flow has become a big part of how he plays. MVRK started djing in early 2023, just messing about at home, then took it more seriously in 2024. by the end of that year, he was putting on events with homeandaway alongside Charlie Behan and Sam Frank, and has been pushing things on ever since.

In The Snug w/ CONNOR SUTHERLAND | RESIDENCY MIX 🌱

Connor first came down earlier this year and stood out straight away as something different and interesting. Never sticking to one specific sound, his sets move between lighter, happier deep house and darker electro or techno, always finding the right balance to match the moment. His biggest inspirations come from the local crews that introduced him to the music he plays today. Good friends like Nial Carloss, Owen Drummond, Duck E and Quidders have all played a big part in shaping his journey and pushing him forward. He started DJing in 2020, experimenting with loops and FX in his bedroom, played his first gig in 2022 at Banff nightclub in Southport, and started his vinyl journey in late 2023. Tune in every other Thursday.

JTMCR + SJ made their first appearance back in May and have been bringing serious energy ever since. Their sound moves between bass heavy house, breakbeats, electro and garage, always with a raw underground feel that keeps the room moving. Tune in every other Friday. They take inspiration from the likes of Christian AB, Truly Madly and Gabbs, which you can hear in their selections and the way they build their sets. The pair have been DJing properly for around three years now, and it shows, tight mixing, strong tune choices and a clear understanding of how to set the vibe right.

Charlie made his first appearance in late April but has been a major part of The Snug’s story from the very start. His stripped back grooves keep the dancefloor moving, from chill warm up rollers to peak time wacky stuff. Charlie takes inspiration from people all around the world, but the minimal Romanian sound is what really made him fall in love with digging. He’s no stranger to a weird sound, always finding tracks that sit just left of centre but still hit right. His style is distinct, rolling and full of character, perfectly fitting the energy of The Snug. He’ll be joining us every other Saturday, bringing his own flavour to the booth each time.
