Collaborated with video game soundtrack composer Dan Wentz on this track and sampled pieces of his work from Red Faction 1. This is my first submission for the upcomming PC MMO "MinerWars 2081".

Jumpgate Runners [Drum-Mix] (2009)

"The Solaris Effect" is an ambient/electronica solo-project of Claire Caldwell and she has also collaborated with videogame soundtrack industry veteran Dan Wentz on the track "Shades of Red". 

Claire, a self-taught bassist of 16 years, has been in several metal bands over the years. It was on a whim to get away from all the band drama and to try something completely new that lead to the birth of The Solaris Effect.

Having been a PC gamer for the past 20+ years and influenced by in-game soundtracks (including Red Faction, EVE Online, Descent, Forsaken and many others), most of Claire's tracks are written with that in mind. They are more background music that you'd listen to while playing a game rather than full-on songs.
