Like all of Joe's mixtapes, there is a broad and multi-layered range of music and sound from around the world, from contemporary releases stretching back to the 1940's and something from every decade in-between - including imagined collaborations such as Burial with vocals from Argentinian folk legend Mercedes Sosa, or Linton Kwesi Johnson reciting poetry over Tipper's immaculately-produced beats.

There is also a wealth of sound design and spoken word, taken from interviews with composers, radio programmes (many recorded by Joe), and poetry recitals.

On September 29th 2014 two of house music’s rising stars Josh Butler & Bontan collaborate for the very first time to deliver ‘We Found A Place’, a future classic featuring the outstanding vocals of Josh Barry on MTA.
 
This sublime new single sees both artists return to the label after the run-a-way success of last year’s highly acclaimed Ibiza anthem Josh Butler ‘Got A Feeling’ (Bontan remix), which went on to become a huge international hit and helped propel both artists onto the world stage.
 
‘We Found A Place’ is a fine follow-up with it’s addictive Jackin’ house groove, lush organ stabs and warm soulful vocals all combing to make this quality track a cut above the rest.
 
‘We Found A Place’ comes in two different forms, the ‘Original Mix’ and the ‘Dub Mix’, both versions make perfect ammunition for DJs across the house spectrum and are ready to ignite dancefloors from London to Miami.

Premiered by Annie Mac on her BBC Radio 1 Show, “Piano Hand” features a slick bass line groove, quirky cut­up vocal samples, and a very speed garage­influenced sound very characteristic of Chris Lorenzo.

Known for his modern house sound infused with funked­out grooves, London­born and LA­-based Chris Lake was signed to Ultra Music in 2012 after perfecting his signature sound through a series of well­received releases and two Essential Mixes.

French producer Armless Kid is set to have his biggest year to date in 2017, playing key international gigs and reaching a global audience with his productions thanks to a helping hand from his friends at Classic. A young self-taught artist who has been working the Paris house circuit for a little while with collectives like Copie Blanche, Xavier aka Armless Kid is right at home on Classic with his inventive "anything goes" approach to producing. Over just three tracks on ͚Jado Jador EP he covers synth-enhanced jacking grooves (in opener Loubar' Stars) featuring the diva tones of Queen Rose, heady BPM-cranked wildness on "BDX Biches Gang", finally finding a glorious middle ground with heavyweight syncopated beats and tight chords on "Road To Grand Champ". It's a real trip.
